Classes will be starting soon at the Salvation Army on Thursday, September 7, 2023.
– Private Beginning Obedience Class to be held at 5:00 PM. This class is especially for dogs with little or no training. Additionally, it serves as a good refresher class for handlers/dogs that would like a refresher and work toward more advanced exercises.
– The Graduate Novice/Open class is geared toward those who have earned their CGC on their dog or completed either a Beginning Obedience Class or the HKC Dog Sports class. This class will concentrate mostly on the Graduate Novice
– Optional Titling Class offered by AKC. The exercises include transitioning your dog into the Heel Free and Figure 8, Drop on Recall, Dumbbell Recall, Dumbbell Recall over the High Jump, Recall over the Broad Jump, and Stand Stay-Get Your Leash exercises. The last portion of the class will introduce additional new Open exercises to include Retrieving and Command Discrimination (Stand-Down-Sit).
